CPLs’ current annual production of exclusive Caithness varieties exceeds 15000 tonnes of seeds. Additionally, there is production within the group of up to 5000 tonnes of “free” varieties.

There are many reasons why this seed is amongst the best in the world :-

1. NO RING ROT or BROWN ROT.  We operate in a zone with complete freedom from quarantine pathogens. 



2. LOW VIRUS LEVELS.  Our climate is not conducive to aphid survival. 



3. LOW BACTERIAL LEVELS.  We have invested in modern storage systems and reduced field generations. 



4. FREEDOM FROM PCN.  All soils are government tested before planting. 



5. HIGH MANAGEMENT STANDARDS.  All production is managed and overseen by our directors.
