Caithness is the area in the north east corner of Scotland where Dr Jack Dunnett breeds his Caithness Potato varieties, fifteen of which are currently on the UK National list.

Many of the Caithness varieties have suitable agronomic characteristics not only for the demanding UK market, but have clearly demonstrated success in overseas destinations such as Spain, Canary Islands, North Africa, Eastern Europe and beyond!

Coupled with Controlled/Protected varieties, supplementary Free varieties are also supplied to these markets.

Close working links are used to develop and trial new improved material which may at some stage supersede the current established varieties to accommodate the ever-changing market place.
